Compact and precisely positioned strain wave gears

This technical property makes the gearbox perfect for use in robots and swivel units in industrial systems, but they are also used in medical devices such as dental milling machines. Due to the high gear reductions, which range from 50 to 120, as well as the mechanical backlash-free structure, they can also achieve very high positioning accuracy and that with small dimensions and low weight.

Hiwin offers five different sizes - from the pure gear component to the finished gear with output bearing and sealed housing. Depending on the application, the gear unit is equipped with a hub with an integrated feather key or with a hollow shaft. This means that media such as pneumatic or electrical lines can also be routed directly through the gearbox if necessary.
