Cameras with 5 GigE

26.09.2022 – Rauscher expands its range in the field of 5 GigE technology with the ace 2 cameras from Basler AG.

Twelve models based on 5 GigE technology complement Basler's existing Ace 2 camera series, which are characterized by their compact design of 29 mm x 29 mm, among other features.

The use of 5 GigE as an interface enables five times faster transmission of image data compared to the previous 1 GigE cameras. In addition, the 5 GigE technology achieves the bandwidth of the Camera Link Full and USB3-Vision interfaces while allowing longer cable lengths. It thus creates the basis for more powerful image processing systems in various application areas such as factory automation and agriculture, among others.

Six of the camera models presented are equipped with Sony's IMX540, IMX541 and IMX542 4th generation Pregius S CMOS sensors and provide high resolutions of 24, 20 and 16 megapixels. For medium resolutions of 12, 8 and 5 megapixels, six additional models are available with the IMX545, IMX546 and IMX547 sensors.
