Advanced linear stage

Like the previous model, it corresponds to the trend towards miniaturization and simplification of automation components. In contrast to M3 modules, the execution unit of conventional translation tables is usually set up separately from the control electronics. However, the electronics are fully integrated in the M3-LS and the table is controlled directly by the system processor via an SPI or I2C interface.

The module is used to position loads of up to 40 g and consists of a micromotor, the associated control electronics, a miniature position sensor, microprocessor and translation table. For applications in photonics, electronics, medicine, chemistry and automation, the module can be easily controlled using high-level commands. A speed of 35 mm/s over a travel range of 10 mm with a resolution of 500 nm with absolute coding is achieved and is therefore up to seven times faster than other M3 modules. The high resolution is achieved through integrated control and extensions in the X, Y and/or Z direction are possible.
