3D snapshot sensor for inline testing

Micro-Epsilon

The Surfacecontrol 3D 3500 sensor from Micro-Epsilon is used for high-precision inline 3D measurements. With a repeatability of up to 0.4 µm in the z-direction, the sensor reaches a new performance class.

The snapshot sensor enables real 3D evaluations of geometry, form and surface and is used for inline measurements. At the same time, with 3DInspect, an integrated software solution is available for the entire 3D sensor portfolio from Micro-Epsilon.

The new 3D sensor is designed for the highly precise inspection of various surfaces such as metal, plastic or ceramics. In just 0.2 seconds, full-area measurements for inspecting geometry, form and surface can be carried out using a single snapshot. While conventional systems work with 2.5D, the Valid3D technology from Micro-Epsilon enables a complete 3D evaluation.

The scope of delivery includes the 3DInspect software, which is compatible with all 3D sensors in the Micro-Epsilon portfolio. The modern GenICam standard allows easy integration and high flexibility in the application.
