3D image quality for high-speed applications

Sick

With the Ruler 3020, Sick has presented the first 3D streaming camera of the new generation. The highlights of the camera are its high speed and measurement accuracy - the ideal prerequisites for high-speed applications.

With the highly sensitive CMOS sensor and ROCC (Rapid On-Chip Calculation) technology, the Ruler 3000 3D stremaing cameras scan and process up to 15.4Gp / s and thus enable up to 7000 three-dimensional full-frame profiles per second . This makes the 3D vision solutions of the product family ideal for high production and process speeds. The cameras extract the 3D shape of an object regardless of its contrast or color.

At the same time, the sensor carries out grayscale and scattered light measurements, which further optimize the result of the image processing and the measurement accuracy. The high light sensitivity enables precise inspection of even very dark or highly reflective materials. Thanks to the HDR (High Dynamic Range) function, components with widely differing light emissions such as tires and shiny metal assemblies can also be reliably detected in a single scan.
