Vision 2024 was well attended

11.10.2024 - The large image processing trade fair recorded a visitor growth of 23 percent

Vision 2024, which took place in Stuttgart from October 8 to 10, has once again demonstrated its importance as the leading global trade fair for image processing. Despite challenging market conditions, the trade fair recorded impressive growth: the number of exhibitors rose to 483 companies from 38 countries, and the number of visitors grew by 23 percent to over 8,000, with 49 percent coming from abroad.

The trade fair offered a platform for groundbreaking technologies and visionary ideas. Companies presented pioneering solutions and discussed industry trends. Florian Niethammer from Messe Stuttgart emphasized that the vision continued its successful course despite difficult market conditions and valuable leads were generated.

The VDMA, the trade fair's conceptual sponsor, confirmed the positive impulses of Vision 2024. Anne Wendel from VDMA highlighted the key role of image processing in the global automation trend and emphasized the potential of new AI technologies.

The fair also set records in terms of exhibition space and the internationality of exhibitors. Visitors from over 65 countries, including many decision-makers, underlined the global importance of the Vision. The quality of the audience was high, with many decision-makers from various industries.

In addition to the exhibitions, the Vision offered an extensive lecture program and competitions such as the Vision Award and the Start-up Pitch Sessions. These events demonstrated the innovative power of the industry. The Vision Award 2024 went to Toshiba Teli Corporation for its "OneShotBRDF™" technology, and the start-up Viziotix was recognized for its revolutionary barcode software.

Overall, the outlook for the European machine vision industry remains positive, with expected market growth and continuous innovation. The next Vision will take place from October 6 to 8, 2026.
