Neura Robotics joins Nvidia Humanoid Robot Developer Program

12.08.2024 - By combining the Nvidia Isaac robotics development platform with the Neuraverse platform, the company aims to accelerate robot development

By accessing Nvidia's extensive technology portfolio, Neura Robotics will leverage its expertise in cobot development to optimize cognitive and humanoid robots using the Nvidia Isaac platform. In particular, Isaac Lab and Isaac Sim will be used to significantly accelerate robot training through a variety of simulated scenarios.

Neura Robotics' product portfolio includes cobots for industrial applications (LARA series), the first cognitive cobot (MAiRA), mobile robots and manipulators (MAV) and the humanoid robot 4NE-1. This provides robotics developers with a diverse portfolio based on a single AI-integrated platform connected via Neuraverse and benefiting from the capabilities of the Nvidia Isaac platform.

Developers can develop application-specific robot assistants using Neura Robotics products equipped with Nvidia technologies such as Nvidia Jetson Thor for demanding computing power. These products improve AI performance directly on the device, thus offering high performance.

Ambitious vision

Neura Robotics aims to produce up to 5 million humanoid and cognitive robots worldwide by 2030. Since training these robots for different applications and environments is extremely time-consuming, Neura Robotics uses the Nvidia Humanoid Robot Developer Program. With the help of Isaac Sim and Isaac Lab, several robots can be trained in parallel using reinforcement learning - a crucial factor for modern, data-intensive deep learning models. Nvidia technologies such as Isaac Sim, Isaac Lab, NIM and OSMO optimize and scale complex model architectures. In this way, Neura Robotics aims to achieve its ambitious growth and production goals even faster.
