Domenico Iacovelli leaves Andritz and Schuler

21.12.2023 - Year-end departure after a successful turnaround in a difficult market environment.

The Andritz supervisory board and Schuler CEO Domenico Iacovelli have mutually agreed upon amicable terms on his departure as of December 31, 2023. Within the Andritz group, the president and CEO of Andritz, Dr Joachim Schönbeck, assumes responsibility for the metals business area, to which Schuler belongs, as of January 1, 2024, and will be working closely with the managing directors Thomas Kamphausen and Dr Peter Jost.

Iacovelli had led Schuler since 2018. “Over the past few years of transformation, we have built a new, strong and innovative Schuler that we can be proud of,” says Iacovelli. “That’s why I have no doubt that Schuler’s future path will be successful and stable.”

“We sincerely thank Domenico Iacovelli for his commitment and outstanding achievements, especially in the successful restructuring of the Schuler group, the strategic development of battery technology for the electric vehicle industry and Andritz’s entry into the green hydrogen market,” said Schönbeck.
