Over eight percent growth at TKH

26.04.2023 - The TKH Group has presented a new quarterly report. Sales in Q1 2023 increased by 8.2 percent to 472.5 million euros.

Currency-adjusted sales increased organically by 8.1 percent, price effects contributed 5.2 percent. All segments recorded sales growth. EBITA before non-recurring income and expenses rose to EUR 60.4 million (Q1 2022: EUR 58.5 million). The order book continued to grow from the end of 2022, driven by smart manufacturing systems.

Strong increase in smart vision systems

Smart Vision Systems achieved an increase in sales of 14.4 percent compared to the first quarter of 2022. Growth in this segment was particularly high in Security Vision, with strong demand for traffic surveillance and security solutions for building applications. Further growth was realized in 2D & 3D machine vision, with the strongest demand coming from the factory automation market.

The Smart Manufacturing Systems division reported revenue growth of 0.7 percent compared to the first quarter of 2022, while Smart Connectivity Systems brought a 12.2 percent increase in revenue to the balance sheet. In particular, demand for power cables supported growth due to the high priority given to investments in power grids. The digitization trend led to a positive development of investments in fiber optic networks, which led to an increase in sales of fiber optic cable activities.
