Schneider Electric places in four sustainability ratings for companies

CDP Climate Change, Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI), EcoVadis and Vigeo Eiris as part of the SSERI employee bonus program

17.01.2022 - Schneider Electric scores well in the area of environment, social affairs and corporate governance (ESG or Environmental Social Governance). This emerges from the 2021 ratings, which were awarded by independent and renowned experts for corporate sustainability.

The tech group uses the annual assessments of four major external indices: CDP Climate Change, Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI), EcoVadis and Vigeo Eiris as part of the employee bonus program SSERI (Schneider Sustainability External & Relative Index) for the allocation of stock options to directors, officers, executives and talented employees.

  • 11th consecutive year on the CDP Climate Change A list
Schneider Electric is one of 200 companies to make the Climate Change A list. The basis for their creation is the assessment of more than 13,000 companies by the CDP. The Group is the only player in its sector to have received this award for 11 consecutive years. Schneider Electric is specifically recognized for its commitment to measuring and reporting progress towards its carbon commitment.
  • 11th consecutive year on the Dow Jones Sustainability Index
Schneider Electric is listed among 322 companies based on S&P Global's Corporate Sustainability Assessment. The energy and automation specialist scored 86/100, compared to an industry average of 28/100.
  • Top rating from EcoVadis
Schneider Electric continues to be in the top 1 percent of 85,000 companies evaluated. The group's very high score (90/100) for sustainable sourcing is recognition of its ambitious supply chain decarbonization practices, including the Zero Carbon Project launched in 2021.
  • Ranked 1st in its sector in the Vigeo Eiris Index
Schneider Electric ranks first in the Electronic Components and Equipment sector in Europe. The score of 71/100 – an increase of five points compared to the previous year – confirms its inclusion in the Euronext Vigeo Eiris World 120, Europe 120, Eurozone 120 and France 20 indices.

The tech company accelerated its own sustainability efforts in early 2021 despite the pandemic. In addition, the sustainability consulting business area was expanded to support even more partners and customers in their own sustainable transformation.
