Volume Graphics: Hexagon takeover completed

Hexagon, a provider of sensor, software and autonomous solutions, completed the acquisition of the CT software manufacturer Volume Graphics, which was announced in November 2019. The companies made no statements regarding the purchase price. With the acquisition of Volume Graphics, Hexagon is strengthening its portfolio in the field of industrial measurement technology with software for analysis and visualization of CT data, which is used, among other things, for non-destructive testing, error detection and damage analysis. The computer tomography also complements the growing range of hexagons for additive manufacturing.

Volume Graphics, based in Heidelberg, employs around 160 people worldwide and has subsidiaries in Japan, Singapore, China and the USA. The company becomes part of Hexagon's Manufacturing Intelligence division.
