VISION 2016: More Exhibitors Expected than Ever Before

The world's leading trade fair for machine vision in 2016, with 57% of exhibitors based abroad

29.08.2016 -

VISION, the world's leading trade fair for machine vision will open its doors for the 27th time in just two months. Over 400 exhibitors from 28 countries are expected in Stuttgart this November.Among this year's exhibitors at VISION 2016 will, as always, be market leaders such as Allied Vision, Basler and Stemmer Imaging, all of whom are regular exhibitors at VISION. But new companies such as ifm electronic and Bosch Healthcare will also be contributing to the diversity of the trade fair.
"User expectations of the machine vision industry are increasing steadily", as Thomas Walter, Divisional Head of Industry & Technology at Messe Stuttgart explains: "Whether the machine vision customers are active in the automotive, pharmaceutical, food and drinks, packaging, transport or logistics sectors, what the industry requires for production processes and logistics is increasing precision, speed, and data processing power. How this demand is being met can be seen at VISION".
Cameras with higher frame rates and even higher resolutions will be presented at VISION 2016 as will software that enable the simple integration of machine vision into the overall system. Yet, the companies represented at VISION are offering technical solutions that can be applied far beyond the industrial sphere. According to Walter: "The cameras and systems of our exhibitors are being used wherever video drones are monitoring the condition of plants, with the aim of reducing the use of pesticides and herbicides in agriculture, just as they are in medicine where camera systems are being used to identify skin cancer".
