Since August of this year, Lennart Schulenburg has been a member of the management board of X-ray system manufacturer Visiconsult, alongside his father Hajo Schulenburg. "Thanks to the long-term handover process, we can offer our customers, suppliers and partners maximum reliability and security. It makes me very proud that we can lead the company into the future with a family-internal solution," says Hajo Schulenburg, managing director and founder of the company.

The promotion of Lennart Schulenburg is part of a long-term strategy to ensure the continued existence of the company, which currently has over 100 employees: In 2015, a ten-year process was launched to ensure a smooth handover. Now, after five years, the son is moving to the top to gain further experience. His last position was sales manager at Visiconsult. He studied computer science at the TU Hamburg and completed an MBA at the ESMT in Berlin.

"I am very much looking forward to this exciting challenge and the confidence of the shareholders and employees. A generation-spanning dual leadership combines many years of experience with new impulses," says Lennart Schulenburg. The position of Sales Director will be taken over by Jason Robbins, who joined Visiconsult a year ago.

Corona crisis brings additional orders

Despite the global corona crisis, Visiconsult can currently report good incoming orders and is proving to be robust thanks to its broad-based positioning.  "In our traditional industry there is a high demand for automation. Therefore our solutions and systems are currently in great demand. The corona crisis is proving to be a catalyst for innovation here," says Lennart Schulenburg.

Visiconsult is a family business based in Stockelsdorf in Northern Germany and is a supplier of standard cabins and customized special equipment for non-destructive X-ray testing and mobile bomb disposal systems. All products are developed and manufactured internally according to ISO 9001. In addition, the company relies on local suppliers and attaches great importance to sustainability.
