T4M: new date 2022
Technology for Medical Devices fair 2021 cancelled at the request of the industry
T4M – Technology for Medical Devices will not take place in 2021. This decision was made at the request of the industry along with the trade fair advisory board and its supporters, Swiss Medtech and the VDMA Working Group Medical Technology.
For a long time, the industry was holding onto the idea of an event in the first half of the year in the hope that a date after the Whitsun holiday would have a higher chance of realisation and, as a result, ensure greater planning certainty. “We regret this development. Given the risk areas spread across Europe and the resulting travel restrictions and quarantine regulations, the idea of holding an in-person trade fair for the medical technology industry in June is, unfortunately, unrealistic and the economic risk is too high,” says Niklas Kuczaty, Managing Director of the VDMA Working Group Medical Technology. The next Medical Technology trade fair is scheduled to take place regularly at the Messe Stuttgart venue in 2022.
The recent months have made very clear that online trade fairs can help solve the problem and can bring benefit for customers. They are, however, difficult, especially when it comes to medical technology. After a thorough review and discussions with the industry, Messe Stuttgart decided against hosting a digital version of the in-person Medical Technology Expo in June 2021. The project team will concentrate all its energy to further increase the quality of the T4M – Technology for Medical Devices brand with individual goal-oriented activities. (Source: Messe Stuttgart)
