Smart Vision Lights promotes Steve VanderZwaag to vice president of engineering

01.03.2023 - Smart Vision Lights appointed Steve VanderZwaag as vice president of engineering. He is thus responsible for the technical area of the manufacturer of LED lighting solutions.

Steve VanderZwaag joined Smart Vision Lights in 2020 to lead the development and launch of the new electronic assembly department. "Steve’s experience allowed us to quickly scale up this new division which now produces over 80% of our printed circuit board assemblies," said Dave Spaulding, president and CEO of Smart Vision Lights. Once fully up and running, VanderZwaag assumed responsibility for managing the engineering department. "Steve has demonstrated his ability to not only launch and manage large projects but also to direct the efforts of our engineering team", Spaulding added.

VanderZwaag has a degree in electronic engineering technology and is passionate about developing technical professionals who support the company's strategy.

VanderZwaag has more than 25 years of diverse business experience, including senior engineering and quality positions at Gentex Corporation, a global electronics manufacturer active in microelectronics, vision systems and software design. During his time at Gentex, VanderZwaag built and led teams.
