Sigmatek equips the photovoltaic laboratory at HTL Salzburg
Technology for practical lessons
In the laboratory teaching units, young technicians should try out the theoretically acquired knowledge in a practical way. With the Sigmatek training sets, the nine workplaces in the photovoltaic (PV) laboratory are now state-of-the-art. A training set consists of three automation units: standard & safety control, control panel as a human-machine interface and drive technology - combined on the integrated software platform Lasal. This starter set is often used by industrial customers to enter the Sigmatek automation world.
With the training structures, practical applications can be simulated by the students in the laboratory. The new high-tech laboratory equipment comes in practical cases. “So we are very flexible. If the workplace has to be used for other activities, the equipment can be stowed away flexibly and is then quickly set up again and ready to go ”, says Dipl. Päd. Gotthard Fränzl. The training sets are primarily used in laboratory exercises in CPE (computer-aided project development) in the 3rd and 4th grades. “This results in Matura projects and diploma theses again and again. The Sigmatek automation technology is programmed object-oriented and that is additional know-how for our students, ”says Gotthard Fränzl with satisfaction.
Sigmatek has been a training partner of the HTL Salzburg for over 20 years and has already equipped several laboratories. “By sponsoring the laboratory automation units, we create the basis for teaching that is up to date. Everyone involved benefits from practical training with the latest technology - schoolchildren, teachers and business. Qualified specialists are a decisive competitive factor in the industry, ”says Mag. Marianne Kusejko, Management Personnel and Finance at Sigmatek.
