Remarkably, the proportion of international exhibitors reached 40%, an unprecedented record. From 2019 onwards, the accompanying congresses on the leading trade fair for sensor technology, measuring and testing technology will alternate in a new structure and in a new cycle.

With 591 exhibitors (previous year: 569), Sensor + Test 2018 recorded the highest value of the last 10 years. The share of international companies (now 237, up from 210 in 2017) even rose to an absolute high of 40%. In contrast, the total number of trade fair visitors decreased slightly, to 7,879 (previous year: 8,107).

The growing internationalization of the fair is also perceived by the exhibitors. This is confirmed by Max Jochem Kreutzer from Endress + Hauser: "In the field of measuring technology and sensor technology, Sensor + Test is the undisputed leading trade fair for us. Due to the steadily increasing share of foreign exhibitors and visitors, it is also gaining more and more international significance. "The overwhelming satisfaction of the exhibitors is also reflected in the lively demand for exhibition space for 2019. The early bird phase has already started and who wants to secure his or her favorite place, should reserve as soon as possible.

New international congress in 2020, new rotation starting in 2019

From 2020, the previous AMA congresses SENSOR and IRS2 will be included in the new international conference SMSI 2020 - Sensor and Measurement Science International. For this reason, the Sensor + Test will be accompanied next year by the 20th GMA / ITG Conference on Sensors and Measuring Systems 2019.
