Quantum Effects Award 2024: application phase has started
Presented on the first day of the Quantum Effects 2024 trade fair, the award honors outstanding innovations which open up new prospects in different industries.
The award was presented for the first time in 2023. In 2024 it will also be presented for partial solutions from the quantum mechanics areas of sensors, communication, computing, and security. These solutions are characterized by a technology readiness level 5 or higher, possess a high level of innovation and future potential or are already being used in initial solutions.
Start-ups, established companies and research institutes can submit ideas and solutions from different areas. The Quantum Effects Award 2024 will be presented in four categories: quantum computing hardware, quantum computing software and algorithms, quantum sensors, and quantum communication and networks.
Partial solutions, which come from the quantum mechanics area of sensors, communication, computing and security, are eligible to take part in the competition. Entries must also be characterized by a TRL of at least 5 or higher and have a high level of innovation and clear future potential or are already being used in initial solutions. Publication or the market launch should not date back more than three years.
Participation in the competition is free of charge. Detailed information, terms and conditions of participation, as well as online registration can be found online at quantum-effects.com/award. A first-rate expert jury will make its decision based on the following criteria: application prospects and potential, degree of innovation/invention level, solution approach and feasibility, and cooperation / teaming.
