31.08.2016 -

Pro-Lite Technology Ltd has opened for business in Spain and Portugal with the creation of Pro-Lite Technology Iberia. Pro-Lite Iberia is located in Barcelona and will be managed by Luz Ruiz. Luz serves as President of the Spanish Light Technologies Cluster (SECPhO) and is a member of the board of directors of the Spanish Applied Spectroscopy Royal Society. Prior to joining Pro-Lite Iberia as General Manager, Luz was the Business Unit Director and Sales Manager at several Spanish photonics equipment suppliers, and brings with her a wealth of experience of a variety of optical and spectroscopic technologies.

Pro-Lite Iberia will mirror the technology and applications focus of the rest of the Pro-Lite group, specialising in instruments for measuring light and the optical properties of materials; photometry and colorimetry; lasers and related equipment; optics and optical materials; and spectroscopy and spectral imaging. The Pro-Lite Group was founded in the United Kingdom in 2002 and comprises: Pro-Lite Technology Ltd (Cranfield, UK) which serves customers in the UK and Ireland; Photometric & Optical Testing Services (Cheltenham, UK), an independent test laboratory specialising in the field of light source and lighting measurement; SphereOptics (Munich, Germany), which provides sales and service in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Turkey and Eastern Europe; Pro-Lite Technology France (Bordeaux), which provides sales and service in France; and now Pro-Lite Technology Iberia (Barcelona, Spain), which serves the Spanish and Portuguese markets.

Pro-Lite’s Ian Stansfield commented: “Despite the uncertainty following the UK’s EU referendum, Pro-Lite remains committed to our European expansion, and we are delighted to welcome Luz to the Pro-Lite family. We look forward to serving new customers in Spain and Portugal”.
