Within the scope of this year's MVTec Innovation Day, the company invited to a press meeting to inform about the current plans and processes. The handover of customers will continue until mid-May, explained Dr. Maximilian Lückenhaus, Director Marketing + Business Development at MVTec. In parallel, the company is currently expanding its own sales structures for the region. In addition, the web store is currently being updated and expanded.
The image processing specialist is also setting up the MVTec Academy. Within this framework, web training courses on Halcon and Merlic will be offered. Further details have not yet been given, but are to follow shortly.

MVTec has also established a subsidiary in Lyon, France. It was officially launched on Jan. 1, 2023. Currently, however, the actual set-up with personnel recruitment etc. is still underway. A sales office of the software manufacturer has already existed at this location for some time.
First Innovation Day after three years of Corona break well attended
The actual topic of the day, Innovation Day 2023, took place this time on March 21 at the Veranstaltungsforum Fürstenfeldbruck - a former monastery. There were around 160 participants on site, with as many more live online. The lecture topics ranged from information on product innovations to tips and tricks on camera calibration to a presentation on an inspection application. Deep OCR and 3D vision were other topics on which there were presentations. Another fixed element of the Innovation Day is the opportunity for participants to network with each other - the majority of whom are specialists and managers from numerous user industries in the machine vision sector. To this end, there are longer breaks between the presentations.
"We are pleased that after three years of forced pandemic-related break, Innovation Day 2023 can finally take place live again. It has now established itself as a key event for the international machine vision industry and enjoys an excellent reputation among machine vision experts. We have thus created an important exchange platform where machine vision developers can also find out about the latest features and technologies," said Dr. Olaf Munkelt shortly before the Innovation Day.
