Lumibird partners with GWU Lasertechnik

09.02.2021 - Combined commercialization of optical parametric oscillators and solid-state lasers

Lumibird, the specialist in laser technologies, has signed a worldwide agreement with GWU-Lasertechnik for the commercialization of GWU’s optical parametric oscillator (OPO) with Lumibird’s solid-state lasers.

This agreement expands the Lumibird offering for pulsed Nd:YAG lasers to include tunable OPO systems. The OPOs will be pumped with the lasers from the industry leading Q-smart or Merion series, providing extended tunability from ultraviolet to mid-infrared. This partnership also allows Lumibird to expand its range of tunable solutions.

The alliance between the agility and reliability of Lumibird lasers and the performance of the GWU OPOs will provide new and exciting solutions to meet the demanding applications of the scientific community in spectroscopy, instrumentation or medical applications. “We are looking forward to this new partnership” says Dr Rainer Brünger, CEO of GWU-Lasertechnik. “Lumibird stands for excellence and reliability just like GWU does. We are certain that our customers will benefit from our joint experience and expertise”. “The signature of this partnership with GWU-Lasertechnik, a leader in OPO solutions design, allows Lumibird to propose its customers one of the most complete offering in tunable solution” adds Gérard Le Cam, VP Customer Care of Lumibird. “Both companies share the highest standards in quality and performances. The solutions brought together will, for sure, become the benchmark in spectroscopy and medical applications”. (Source: Lumibird)
