Framos has been setting standards in industrial image processing for 30 years. For the owner Bernd Franz, this is not just a technical discipline, but "a fascination, mission and the future in equal measure". Framos dedication to the field of image sensor technology began early in its development in 1982. Framos was quickly able to offer its own products such as image sensors, camera modules and cameras. Driven ever onward by its guiding principle, "Teaching machines to see", the company continues to uphold this spirit of innovation and development today, shaping its three areas of business: Imaging Components for image processing components, Engineering for developmental projects and Imaging Solutions for complete image processing solutions.

The company is well equipped for the future, not just in structural and technical terms - the Bavarian medium-sized company has also already completed the transition to the next generation. "Because a successful handover to the next generation cannot be taken for granted, I gave my son free choice as to whether he sees his future here or somewhere else," explains Bernd Franz. Following a successful career with a large management consultancy firm, his son, Dr. Andreas Franz, took up his offer to lead the company's fortunes into the future. "It is precisely those values that made us big in the past 30 years that have now paved the way for a smooth transition: drive, freedom of thought, co-operation and a sense of family." As the CEO of the company, he assumes that further new products, services and ideas will grace the Framos portfolio in the foreseeable future. The company also has new markets such as Eastern Europe, The Middle East and China in its sights.

On its 30-year anniversary, Framos is once more setting the pace, and is focusing on the subject of "Things that matter to us!". With this is mind, the company's striking logo is being adapted to illustrate the 15 foundations that are the basis of the company's success, these include passion and creativity, expertise and loyalty, respect and, of course, enjoyment.
