The new name "Edge AI and Vision Alliance" was chosen by the former Embedded Vision Alliance to emphasize the new orientation towards edge computing and artificial intelligence. The Alliance speaks of an extension to cover "the full range of Edge AI technology and its applications", including image processing, with and without artificial intelligence. The new name is accompanied by a new Internet address. The former URL www.embedded-vision.com is replaced by www.edge-ai-vision.com.

Now, the Alliance emphasizes, "that our mission now encompasses not only imaging, but the full spectrum of cutting-edge AI technologies and applications".
