AIA: Kick Off Meeting for USB3 Vision

The AIA announced the date for a kick-off meeting for the development of USB3 Vision, a new interface standard for machine vision using the USB3 connector. The kick-off meeting will take place from September 12-14, 2011 in Hamburg, Germany. This will be followed by a series of distributed development activities, a presentation of the draft standard at Vision 2011 in Stuttgart, and publication in 2012. The criteria for participation in this development effort is attendance at required meetings, and a willingness to contribute approximately 80 man-hours of work towards the standard development outside of the meetings.
