83rd Heidelberger Bildverarbeitungsforum in Aalen
19.01.2023 - The forum would like to give an overview of the new possibilities of modern optical components for image processing
Despite all the hype about artificial intelligence, it is easy to overlook the fact that decisive progress has also been made in other areas of image processing and image acquisition. This also applies to the optical components for lighting and image recording.
For example, there is now the new Open Optics Camera Interface (OOCI) standard for integrating and configuring optical components in image processing systems, which has just been recognized as one of the 10 top inVision innovations of 2023. So it's time to get an overview of the new possibilities of modern optical components for image processing.
The Heidelberg Image Processing Forum was able to win over the Center for Optical Technologies at Aalen University as a competent co-organizer for this topic. A highlight will therefore also be the guided tour - on the subject of additive manufacturing in optics - through the center of the university and the accompanying exhibition.
The program can be found on the website.
The lunch and coffee breaks provide sufficient time for practical demonstrations with exhibits in the exhibition that match the content of the forum, for discussion of the poster contributions and for informative discussions among the participants and with the speakers. The possibility of presenting the exhibits or posters with a short presentation (“teaser” with two minutes of speaking time and a maximum of three slides) before the lunch break and the extended lunch and coffee breaks give this part of the program the weight it deserves. Participation in the industrial exhibition is free of charge for registered participants (max. one table with power connection).
