EOSAM 2024

The European Optical Society Annual Meeting

EOSAM 2024 is organized by The European Optical Society, EOS, in close collaboration with the Italian Society for Optics and Photonics, SIOF, the Italian branch of EOS.

Submission deadline:

Event location: Naples
Country: Italy

The event covers all aspects of optics and photonics within several topical meetings and sessions. It is attended annually by over 500 top researchers, key leaders, students, and industry experts from over 30 different countries all over the world. At the event, we anticipate over 100 speakers each day within parallel sessions.

EOSAM includes high-level presentations on the current and most impressive research. There will be several plenary speakers taking the stage: Hatice Altug, Anna C. Peacock, Claudio Conti, Miles Padgett, Fredrik Laurell, and Kishan Dholakia.

The meeting consists of a week full of scientific, industrial, and educational programs. Recent research results will be presented to a wide international audience, for connecting and catching up, as well as bridging the gap between research, education and industry.

Submission is still open for the following topical meetings (TOMs) and sessions:
EU Project Session (in collaboration with Photonics21)
TOM1- Silicon Photonics and integrated optics
TOM2- Frontiers in Optical Metrology
TOM3- Optical System Design, Tolerancing and Manufacturing
TOM4- BioPhotonics and biosensors
TOM5- Nanophotonics
TOM6- Optical Materials
TOM7- Ultrafast Phenomena
TOM8- Nonlinear and Quantum Optics
TOM9- Opto-electronics, Nanotechnologies & Microsystems
TOM10- Applications of Optics and Photonics

Also focused sessions on holography and structured light, optical fibers technology, passive radiative cooling, photonics for cultural heritage, and machine learning for optics, and photonic computing for AI.

In addition to these sessions, EOSAM includes sessions on industrial mastering of optical technologies and systems (IMOTS), industrial optics podium session (in collaboration with EPIC), as well as an early stage researcher session.

As in previous EOSAM conferences, in addition to the conference program of contributed and invited speakers, the association provides an additional benefit to all registered attendees in the form of tutorials, topical meetings (TOMs) and focused session. The tutorials will be held on Monday, 9 September 2024. Confirmed tutorial speakers include Sebastian Riese, Oliver Fähnle, Jacopo Bertolotti, Ignacio Moreno Soriano, Francesca Intonti, Alberto Puliafito, Katerina Kusova, Giovanni Pellegrini, Luca Sortino, and Stefania Campopiano.

Collocated with the EOSAM conference, the EOS will again host an industrial exhibition to bridge the gap between research and industry. It offers the industrial forum as a new option for companies to bring forth their HR or product-related news to the whole audience of the EOSAM. The association invites all exhibitors to take part in the scientific program and submit a paper to any of the topical meetings and sessions. Companies are provided with the perfect setting to promote their expertise and products, announce job opportunities, create new leads, and strengthen existing ones. The EOSAM Exhibition takes place 10 – 12 September.

Sponsoring is warmly welcomed to maintain the great level of quality of the networking events and breaks, to benefit the student attendees, and support the best student presentation awards.
To book an exhibition space or sponsor package, or to discuss additional options, please contact the EOS executive director Elina Koistinen: elina \at europeanoptics.org.

Reserve your table and sponsoring package now to ensure you receive the best spot and visibility at the conference. Items are sold as first booked-first served (gold and silver sponsors will have priority in selecting the booth location).

Join the event with early-bird fees before 30 June 2024.
