Measurement technology pioneer retires
15.01.2025 - Managing Director Günter Kech played a key role in Vega's success
After more than 50 years at Vega, including 25 years in management, Günter Kech retired on December 31, 2024. Vega, known for level and pressure measurement technology, paid tribute to him at the Christmas party with 1,100 employees and guests of honor. Kech was instrumental in the development of ultrasonic measurement technology in the 1970s and the first radar two-wire device in 1997. His innovations, such as the Plics platform in 2003 and the Vegapuls 6X, left their mark on the industry. Isabel Grieshaber, Managing Partner, praised his curiosity and honesty. Kech, who started at Vega in 1971, helped grow the company from 75 to over 2,400 employees. He always emphasized the importance of employees and is now looking forward to spending more time with his family. Kech's farewell was met with minutes of applause.
