Zeiss Quality Innovation Summit concluded successfully

25.10.2024 - The global conference on innovation and manufacturing in Berlin addressed current trends such as artificial intelligence (AI), automation, digitalization and decarbonization

2,000 experts, decision-makers and innovators from leading global manufacturers came together in Berlin for the first “Zeiss Quality Innovation Summit” to discuss how to turn challenges into opportunities. For three days, the Summit provided an interactive platform where industry leaders presented the latest innovations in metrology, quality assurance and global manufacturing trends.

Under the motto “The Future of Metrology”, the event was dedicated to current trends such as artificial intelligence (AI), automation, digitalization and decarbonization. More than 50 high-profile speakers from leading manufacturing companies such as Siemens, Mercedes-Benz, GE Appliances, LY iTech and MTU Aero Engines as well as Foxconn and Hitachi Energy provided valuable insights into how these technologies can be used to meet rapidly changing requirements. Participants were able to learn from other industries and connect with like-minded people while gaining first-hand insight into the latest innovations in metrology hardware and software solutions.


Summit Highlights

The Summit highlighted technology, innovation and global collaboration as key factors to overcome the industry's challenges. Participants were able to learn from speakers from various industries such as automotive, aerospace, mechanical engineering, medical technology, energy supply and electronics. Panel discussions offered practical strategies, for example on how to use AI and automation to improve production efficiency.

In addition to the lectures, the latest innovations in metrology were presented in over 9,000 square meters in the legendary Funkhaus. Participants gained insights into how AI, automation and digitalization are revolutionizing quality assurance. ZEISS also presented new applications that support decarbonization, such as automated inline inspection of batteries for electric vehicles or rapid measurement of rotor blades to increase aircraft efficiency.

In addition to innovative technologies and new perspectives, the Summit offered numerous networking opportunities. Participants had the opportunity to build relationships with key opinion leaders and decision makers from around the world. The event created an inspiring environment to foster new partnerships that will be critical to future success.
