iPronics appoints Christian Dupont as CEO
12.09.2024 - Industry expert to lead deep tech startup into next phase of growth and innovation.
The provider of reconfigurable photonics iPronics has introduced Christian Dupont as its new chief executive officer who comes with more than thirty years of experience in high-tech business and strategy development. His appointment comes at a crucial time as the company prepares to launch its first optical switch for AI clusters and datacenter applications. This product is based on software-defined integrated photonics and will enable flexible optical networking while reducing system cost, power consumption, and latency.
“We are thrilled to welcome Christian to the iPronics family,” said Dr Daniel Pérez López, CTO and cofounder. “His expertise in both business development and scaling up deep tech companies makes him the ideal leader to guide iPronics through its next phase of growth and innovation.”
Prior to joining iPronics, Dupont served as Texas Instruments wireless general manager in USA and Europe and was CEO of several optical MEMS startups. He holds a master of engineering from the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL).
“I am honored to join iPronics at this exciting acceleration phase,” said Dupont. “The potential for optical switching in networking industry is immense with the ever growing demand generated by AI. I look forward to working with our customers and our talented team to contribute to solving the growing data movement challenge within data centers.”
