Embedded series with up to 96 cores
AMD has introduced its Epyc embedded processors of the 9004 series.
The fourth generation processors, based on the Zen 4 architecture, offer technologies and functions for embedded networking, security/firewall and storage systems in cloud and enterprise computing as well as for industrial edge servers in manufacturing.
The series consists of ten processor variants with power options from 16 to 96 cores and a TDP profile (Thermal Design Power) from 200W to 400W. They also feature advanced security features designed to help mitigate security risks and maintain a secure computing environment from power-on to runtime. According to AMD, Siemens and Advantech are among the first OEM and ODM customers to use the new series in their products.
