Wiley author wins Young Engineering Award
08.05.2023 - With the Young Engineering Award, Deutsche Messe for the first time honors an expert from the STEM field who is no more than 30 years old and is performing or has already performed exceptional work in the technical field.
An independent jury consisting of the members of the WomenPower congress advisory board has awarded Lisa Ihde this new prize from among the three finalists in recognition of her great commitment to the mint sector. The winner was announced at the opening of the WomenPower career congress on April 21 in Hannover. Prof. Barbara Schwarze presented the Young Engineering Award to Lisa Ihde in her function as chair of the WomenPower jury.
Previously, the jury, consisting of the members of the congress advisory board WomenPower, had nominated three young women for this new award. In the end, Lisa Ihde, Hasso Plattner Institute Potsdam, prevailed. She is a web and game designer as well as a book author, among others for the Dummy series belonging to Wiley.
