Bearingless incremental encoder with IO-Link interface
08.02.2023 – Baumer's EB200E bearingless encoder features an IO-Link that reduces the cost and effort of cabling. A speed monitor function replaces additional hardware components.
Thanks to the IO-Link interface, up to 8 of the encoders can be connected to an IO-Link master using standard cables. The encoder can be parameterized via IO-Link. Two switching outputs can be parameterized via this interface, with which it functions as a speed monitor and monitors the overspeed, the speed range, standstills or the direction of rotation. In addition, the EB200E has a classic HTL signal. The encoder has a mounting depth of 12 mm and flexible shaft diameters. The sensing principle between sensor head and magnetic ring makes it insensitive to dirt, shock or vibration.
