The Forge area scan camera series offers a comprehensive combination of image processing features for complex vision system requirements.

The models expand the Genie Nano 5 GigE sensor offering to include Sony Pregius (4th generation) global shutter CMOS sensors from 5 to 24 MP. In addition to supporting connection speeds of 1, 2.5 and 5 GigE, the platform offers a burst mode for capturing images into memory at speeds of up to 10 Gbps. Combined with a 500 MB image buffer, this allows engineers to capture information for high-speed applications in bursts. The Trigger-to-Image Reliability (T2IR) framework gives them tools to design systems faster.

Designed to simplify OEM integration, Forge offers features such as PoE, thermal management and opto-isolated triggering for optimised peripherals and camera control. System engineers can replace GigE Vision compatible cameras with Forge cameras to improve system performance without changing their application software. In addition, Forge supports Teledyne Spinnaker and Sapera LT SDKs as well as GigE Vision compatible software packages. Forge is suitable for high-speed factory automation applications for electronics inspection, food processing as well as pharmaceuticals.
