Force sensors for tensile and compressive forces

Megatron Elektronik

05.09.22 - The force sensors KM801 / KT803 and KM701 / KT703 from Megatron are suitable in applications for the measurement of switching and actuation forces. The KM801 / KT803 force sensor has a nickel-plated steel measuring body and can absorb forces of up to 5 kN.

It is designed in two versions for the introduction of forces of 0...2 kN or 0...5 kN. The smaller KM701 / KT703 has an aluminum measuring body and can be used for a maximum nominal load of 1 kN. It is available in three variants for force application of 0...0.2 kN, 0...0.5 kN and 0...1 kN.

KM801 and KM701 can be combined with the external amplifier IMA2 DMS. The force sensors of the KT803 and KT703 series are identical in construction to the KM801 and KM701 variants. In the KT series, a digital measuring amplifier is already integrated in the force transducer, which amplifies the very small signal voltage and supplies analogue output signals (0...10 V, 4...20 mA @24 VSUP). Despite the built-in amplifier, the sensors remain compact. Depending on the application, the sensors of the KT series can be calibrated for tensile or compressive force application.
