Sliding Material for More Design Freedom
Igus
Depending on the operating point, this has friction values of around 0.16 and thus achieves up to 40 percent less friction compared to the igus standard materials, measured on hard anodized aluminum, and even less compared to commercially available sliding materials. As a result, 40 percent lower displacement forces are also required for manual adjustments.
The elimination of lubrication not only saves money, but also protects the environment. Through new material mixing and preparation, as well as countless tests in its own test laboratory, the largest in the world in the industry, Igus has further pushed the application limits of motion plastics and created new design freedom in linear technology.
