Sensor-based rotary encoders
EBE Elektro-Bau-Elemente
The rotary encoder is adjusted by sliding several fingers over the cylinder. The user's fingers serve as individual influencing variables that can be determined by capacitive measurement. Electrodes inserted from the inside are adjusted within the rotary encoder using a carrier element. The housing wall remains completely closed and contains no mechanical or otherwise rotating components.
The concept is absolutely tight. Since the bulge for the sensor rotary encoder is cast directly into the front panel of the end device, the surface remains completely closed. This can be ideally integrated into acrylic glass or plastic surfaces. Because there are no moving parts, there is no wear and tear due to friction or dirt. The entire system is therefore extremely robust in relation to external environmental conditions and installation is very easy to implement.
