Powerful arbitrary function generator series

Siglent Technologies

Siglent is introducing another device in its Performance series. The new two-channel arbitrary function generator is offered in three variants. These differ in the maximum output frequency.

The devices are available with bandwidths of 350 MHz, 500 MHz and 1 GHz. The two independent channels can easily be combined via menu control, e.g. to simulate interference on the useful signal or to generate complex, modulated signals. In addition to all standard waveforms such as sine, square, triangle and pulse, the generators in the series can output Gaussian noise with the device-specific bandwidth or with a limited bandwidth. It is also possible to simply add this noise to the useful signal using a menu setting.

Random Bit Sequence (PRBS) generation is also a standard feature. All devices are equipped with 512 MPkt memory for creating custom signals. Using Siglent's TrueArb technology, a point-by-point output with up to 2.5 GS/s sampling rate, the disadvantages of DDS technology can be eliminated and arbitrary signals with high fidelity and reduced jitter can be generated. The user-defined signals can be generated with the Siglent EasyWave software or directly on the device display.
