Radio switching devices for wireless signal transmission

Steute Technologies

Steute's wireless switching devices are suitable for safe, reliable and wireless signal transmission in many applications.

This solution is interesting, e.g. for plastic injection moulding, especially in multi-component processes. Turntable machines are often used here. They create the conditions for the basic shape of the component to be created in a mold first and then – after a rotation of 90 or 180o, for example – the second component is injected. This avoids component distortion and speeds up production.

One challenge is to monitor the slide positions of the injection molding tool and ultimately the correct closing processes. If the slides are not in the correct position and the tool closes, expensive and - almost more importantly - time-consuming repairs are the result.

Because this solution is the most elegant way of signal transmission from a rotating machine element, it is now used by well-known plastics processors. A position switch from the Steute range is usually used (e.g. the ES 13), which becomes "radio-capable" in conjunction with a radio universal transmitter (RF 96 ST or RF I/O). As an alternative, wireless inductive sensors from the RF IS series are available.
