Slewing rings on the Shetlands

Rodriguez

Slewing rings from Rodriguez have also proven themselves in many rather unusual applications: For example, when renovating a lighthouse headlight on the Shetland island of Bressay, the choice fell on a high-performance four-point bearing from the extensive range of the drive specialist.

But Rodriguez slewing rings are also used in the stage technology of well-known international artists - and last but not least in the oldest gin distillery in the world.

However, Rodriguez slewing rings are also used in large concert stadiums. The background: A well-known set designer from Great Britain installs robust slewing rings from Eschweiler in the stage technology of internationally known artists, including Beyoncé, Robbie Williams and Helene Fischer.

The stages accompany the individual artists on their tours, so they are taken from venue to venue and repeatedly set up and dismantled. The ball bearing slewing ring is an externally toothed version with a running circle diameter of 1,155 mm. The components are used at the base; they are equipped with a pinion drive and thus allow the large scissor lifts to rotate.
