SWIR camera models with Senswir sensor

Allied Vision

Allied Vision has introduced the Alvium 1800 SWIR camera models with Sony's Senswir sensor technology. According to the manufacturer, the Alvium SWIR core modules are currently the smallest industrial-grade, uncooled, low-power short-wave infrared (SWIR) cameras available on the market, suitable for building compact OEM systems for embedded and machine vision applications.

The four new models in the 1800 series are equipped with Sony Senswir InGaAs sensors that cover a spectral range from 400 nm to 1700 nm with high quantum efficiency. This allows users to capture images in the visible and SWIR spectra with a single camera, reducing overall system costs.

The Alvium SWIR core modules are available with a USB3 vision or MIPI CSI-2 interface. Due to a GeniCam-compatible function control, industrial-grade hardware and optimized drivers, they offer a plug-and-play feel when building image processing applications beyond the visible spectrum, regardless of whether they are based on a PC or an embedded system.
