Demo kit with RSA3015N spectrum analyzer

Telemeter

To understand how radio technology works, the partner of Telemeter Electronic, Rigol Technologies, now offers a tool: The spectrum analyzer of the DSA800 class or the RSA3015N in combination with a TX1000 demo board is specially designed for the training area, but also specified for R&D measurements.

The overall understanding of RF receivers and transmitters can be learned and understood in a simple manner. This demo board can modulate an RF carrier (500 MHz or 1 GHz) with a baseband signal (up to 50 MHz, maximum bandwidth: +/- 10 MHz). With the spectrum analyzer, the TX1000 demo board can be stimulated (via tracking generator) and analyzed via the RF input. Alternatively, an external HF generator with IQ modulation can be used (e.g. Rigol DSG821A) to test the device with a modulated baseband signal.

The TX1000 demo board contains various components such as a GHz local oscillator, ten MHz reference, mixer, a bandpass filter after the mixer, amplifier and two bandpass filters after the amplifier. The spectrum analyzer RSA3015N impresses with a wide frequency range from 9 kHz to 1.5 GHz and with its integrated vector network analyzer mode. With this mode, S11, S21 or distance error measurements can be carried out, since the phase information is also available in addition to the amplitude information.
