The connection technology specialist Escha is expanding its M8 connector range to include multi-pole versions with 8 pins. There are two cable qualities to choose from, which are particularly geared towards the requirements of the automation industry. The new M8 connectors comply with the IEC 61076-2-104 standard. They are dust and waterproof according to protection classes IP65, IP67 and IP68. In addition, they can be used without hesitation in a temperature range from -30 ° C to + 90 ° C. Right from the market launch, ESCHA will be offering an extensive product portfolio consisting of straight and angled heads with plug or socket. These are available as connecting or connecting cables in different standard lengths or with customer-specific lengths. A flexible, silicone- and halogen-free PUR cable with high mechanical strength and UL approval (S370) and an inexpensive PVC cable (P00) are available as cable qualities.

Both cable qualities are particularly geared towards the requirements within mechanical and plant engineering and cover typical applications. With a connection cross-section of up to 0.25mm², the eight-pole M8 connectors have a very low voltage drop. At the beginning of the fourth quarter of 2021, shielded versions will follow, which round off the product portfolio.
