Smart system for positioning applications
Lenord, Bauer & Co.
The analog signals from the minicoder are processed in the i³SAAC Precision Box and the so-called eccentricity error - also called long-wave error - is compensated. In this way, positioning accuracies of up to five angular seconds are achieved and dynamically minimized even at high speeds of well over 50,000 rpm. Additional temperature signals from the spindle can also be placed in the box and looped through via a cable for further processing.
The built-in encoders can be configured using the GEL 211C test and programming device. When installed, the two sensor signals are fine-tuned once using the menu-guided commissioning wizard.
