Breuckmann: High Precision 3D Scanning Systems

On the occasion of the 18th Euromold World Trade Fair for Mould Making and Tooling, Design Development and Application, Breuckmann will again present their broad range of flexible and powerful 3D scanning systems.

Versatility and Performance

This year at exhibition stand C90 in Hall 8, white-light scanners made by Breuckmann will once again give proof of their versatility and performance ability: Various technical applications in the field of reverse engineering will be on display, illustrating how 3D scanning systems contribute to the process optimisation as well as the reduction of mass production times. 3D scanning systems have also become an integral part of tool and mould making projects, beginning from the very first draft and the creation of the prototype all the way up to series production. In the field of customised product design, the contact-free scanning process generates highly precise data sets of even very fragile or easily deformable objects within a fraction of time, making them instantly available for further online processing. Furthermore, 3D scanning systems are called into action for quality inspection purposes, where smallest structures or minimal deviations have to be measured at highest accuracy.

3D Scanners

Breuckmann‘s 3D scanners are small, and yet very powerful: Weighing just 4 kg, the smartSCAN 3D is universally employable and therefore ideally suited for mobile or on-site applications. The sensor configuration of this product series, which has been established and proven for many years, allows scanning processes at 30°, 20° and 10° triangulation angles, allowing also very complex object areas and geometries to be measured at the highest level of detail. The exact performance spectrum of the system is determined by the customer by choosing from a variety of configuration options. The scanner can be precisely configured to best suit the individual project requirements and thanks to its module based configuration concept offers the highest possible flexibility with regard to software as well as hardware enhancements. To ensure top level accuracy and data quality, e.g. in the context of industrial measurement tasks, the system is fitted with low-noise CCD cameras using high-quality lenses at various resolution levels. In the context of digitisation projects, for instance in the field of body measurement and cultural monuments, the simultaneous acquisition of the colour as well as the 3D properties of the scan objects allow for highest level of precision and imaging quality. Particularly the standard configurations of the system provide Breuckmann's renowned and track proven quality at an excellent ratio of value for money.
