W3+ Fair Rheintal cancelled at short notice

Reaction to increasing coronary new infections in Vorarlberg

17.09.2020 -

The machine vision and photonics trade fair W3+ Fair Rheintal in Dornbirn, Austria, was prohibited by the Vorarlberg provincial government shortly before its start. The reason is the increasing number of new corona-infections. Actually the fair should have taken place on September 23 and 24. Now a digital event in November replaces the on-site event.

"We are extremely sorry that the courage and enthusiasm of our exhibiting companies, the supporting associations and institutions, our speakers and the great commitment of our team did not lead to the goal this time. Right up to the end we were in good spirits to be able to guarantee a safe event with our sophisticated hygiene concept and in close cooperation with the local health authorities," says Christoph Rénevier, Managing Director of Fleet Events.

Dornbirn declared to "orange zone"

On September 15, 2020, the governor of Vorarlberg declared the districts of Dornbirn, Hohenems and Lustenau an "orange zone" due to increasing numbers of infections, which means that only 250 people are allowed at a trade fair. From the point of view of the organizer, a trade fair with a congress cannot be realized with these restrictions. Therefore Fleet Events has cancelled the fair and the accompanying congress N-Tec Talks.

The digital trade fair is to take place in November on the Xircus platform. The platform is a development of Fleet Events and is intended to enable a live event with parallel events, including contact opportunities, interaction and entertainment. Further details, as well as the exact date of the digital event, will be provided by the organizer as soon as possible.
