Fraunhofer Vision: Guide for hyperspectral imaging

Volume 19

07.07.2020 -

The Fraunhofer Vision Alliance has published the 19th volume of its guide series. The "Guide for hyperspectral image processing" gives an overview of methods and applications of hyperspectral imaging. It first introduces the basics of spectroscopy and then discusses methods of hyperspectral image acquisition (detectors, cameras, illumination, etc.). The machine vision section gives an overview of aspects of hyperspectral data processing, data reduction and chemometrics and introduces possible classification methods. It concludes with a practical part in which several applications in typical HSI applications such as food, raw materials (minerals, glass or wood), recycling, medicine or life science are presented.

The "Guide to hyperspectral imaging" can be purchased for a nominal charge of 37.45 euros from the office of the Fraunhofer Vision Alliance, from the Fraunhofer Vision webshop at shop.vision.fraunhofer.de or from bookstores (ISBN: 978-3-8396-1502-7).
