MVTec hosts Innovation Day 2020

14.01.2020 -

MVTec invites you to the "MVTec Innovation Day" again this year. On Thursday, February 20, 2020, visitors to the Haus der Bayerischen Wirtschaft in Munich will receive a practical insight into current topics related to industrial image processing. MVTec experts shed light on trends, technologies and solutions in a variety of lectures. These offer added value especially for developers, programmers and experienced machine vision users. The MVTec team is also available for direct exchange and technical discussions. During the breaks and the evening event, the participants have the opportunity to visit an exhibition with live demonstrations and relaxed networking. The event takes place in German, with an interpreter service available for all non-German-speaking guests.

Expert lectures on current trends and technologies

The specialist lectures focus on current trends and technologies as well as their practical application in daily use. This includes efficient anomaly detection for deep learning-based inspection tasks with the standard image processing software MVTec HALCON. Other lecture topics include deep learning-based, optical character recognition (OCR), examples of current embedded vision applications, HALCON's generic box finder for pick-and-place applications and identification by sub-pixel barcode readers. The experts also provide information about general market developments and future milestones at MVTec. In addition, visitors receive valuable tips from MVTec developers and can win licenses for MVTec software products or deep learning training in a raffle. For the first time, external speakers will also speak at this year's Innovation Day - for example from B&R or Manz AG on topics such as deep learning and embedded vision.

Throughout the day, exciting live demonstrations provide practical insights into the use of modern image processing applications in industry. The focus is on scenarios with a focus on embedded vision and deep learning.
