W3+ FAIR: meeting for experts from optics, electronics and mechanics

The W3+ FAIR, the networking trade fair for the fields of optics, electronics and mechanics, will be held in Wetzlar, Germany, on 2─3 March 2016. The collaboration between these disciplines creates visionary technologies. Approximately 150 exhibitors, including technology and market leaders such as Zeiss Sports Optics, Leica Microsystems, Optotech, Satisloh, Schneider, Taylor Hobson, WZW, Befort, Optocraft and Wert Messtechnik will be showcasing their products and services to the more than 2,500 trade visitors that are expected. This innovative contact forum, which is gaining increasing international attention, promises cutting-edge expertise, new collaborations and interesting recruitment and job possibilities.
A large number of free lectures and seminars make the W3+ FAIR a sought-after platform for interdisciplinary knowledge transfer. The particular areas of focus in 2016 will be optical measurement technology, manufacturing technology in the field of optics and optoelectronics. This year's keynote presentations by Prof. Thomas Bauernhansl, from the Fraunhofer Institute IPA, on the subject of Industry 4.0, and by Leica Camera AG and Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence, will arouse great interest.
