‘lab4you’ program for young scientists

10.09.2015 -

Shimadzu has released its ‘lab4you’ student program for young scientists from all over Europe. In the year of its 140th anniversary, Shimadzu introduced this program at the HPLC 2015 Symposium in Geneva, Switzerland. By contacting Shimadzu, young scientists can apply for laboratory bench space for their own research. In the modern ‘Shimadzu Laboratory World’ at the European headquarters in Duisburg, Germany, state-of-the-art analytical HPLC/UHPLC and mass spectrometry instruments are accessible to ensure the best possible analytical research results. Shimadzu offers and supports the entire bandwidth of analytical instrumentation – from chromatography, photometry and spectroscopy right up to material testing machines. “Chromatography and mass spectrometry are featured in their own specific area within the Laboratory World. Shimadzu has significantly advanced both technologies in recent years and this will remain of key importance in the future”, Erxleben added.

Application made easy

Interested students can apply in English language by submitting a short abstract of their research until October 31, 2015. Laboratory space will be available for the duration of the research project. Requirements for participation are an undergraduate degree in science, an interesting topic of research and experience in HPLC/UHPLC and/or mass spectrometry. This applies to master students, doctoral students and post-docs from all scientific disciplines that require chromatographic analysis and/or mass spectrometry. Deadline for application is October 31, 2015 and the successful applicant will be selected by an expert jury at Shimadzu Europa GmbH.

Shimadzu offers a selection of promotional materials for Universities that can be for-warded to potential participants.
