Wenglor Subsidiaries Close the Year with Strong Growth Rates
13.01.2014 -
Growth rates for numerous subsidiaries of wenglor sensoric GmbH, both inside and outside of Germany, are revealing an extremely positive trend once again this year. The Thai and Spanish branch offices of the mid-sized sensor manufacturer are setting extremely good examples. Thanks to innovative products and stabilizing economic conditions in the European and Asian automation sectors, the wenglor subsidiaries were able to present impressive growth rates this year.
wenglor sensoric GmbH markets its products via a worldwide sales network which is comprised of 25 independent subsidiaries and numerous dealerships. Products fabricated by the sensor manufacturer in Tettnang, Germany, are available in a total of 45 countries around the globe - and the effort is paying off. After all, more products than ever before found their way to the customers this year. High levels of demand have resulted in sales increases of nearly 15% on the average for wenglor's international subsidiaries in comparison with last year. With a growth rate of more than 30%, wenglor's Spanish subsidiary achieved especially impressive results. This has been made possible by the many years of intensive sales work carried out by wenglor Spain's team of ten, as well as innovative products and close contact to the customers: "Our well attuned sales experts have already been working together with some of their customers for more than eight years", says wenglor Spain's managing director Xavier Roig about the reasons for this success. "And we're currently serving 700 customers in selected industry sectors." Above all high-tech products like the WinTec Transit Time Sensor and the BS40 Vision Sensor are providing for continuous growth in the Spanish market.
Thanks to large national investments in corresponding infrastructures, the Asian automation industry has become considerably more important for western companies. As a result, turnover for wenglor's Asian subsidiaries advanced at a phenomenal growth rate of more than 30% in 2013, followed by the American and European subsidiaries with 17% and 12% respectively. "Despite stagnating growth rates in the overall automation sector, growth in Asia is significantly higher than the figures which are currently typical for the industry", says wenglor managing director Fabian Baur.
